The CW drama series "Supernatural" is getting its own Web spin-off called "Ghostfacers," which will be produced by Warner Bros TV's Studio 2.0 and Wonderland. The 10-episode Web series will show on TheWB.com and CWTV.com, both of which will also feature other "Ghostfacers" content, such as gag reels, behind-the-scenes videos, photo galleries and actor commentary. An interesting note about this series is that it feels a bit less like a gimmick and more like a new product, because "Supernatural" has run for five seasons on TV, and it has spawned 18 comic books, a handful of novels and an official magazine, with six more comic books on the way. Instead of using the Web to branch out its brand, "Supernatural" is using the Web as a true independent distribution arm, giving it a bit more credibility and making it likely that there will be a season two of "Ghostfacers."
