Nokia has decided not to bundle its Comes With Music service on its flagship X6 music phone model, hoping to boost sales by cutting costs. Dropping the unlimited music service will allow Nokia to cut the price of the phone by a third. Nokia so far has seen a lukewarm reception of the music service and is attributing that largely to price. With the music service bundle, the phone retailed for €450 ($630). Without it, the phone runes €299 ($420), a huge difference when considering not only the economy but all those lovely taxes, fees and subsidies that pile up when buying any mobile. |
