Movie Gallery, which owns the movie rental chain Hollywood Video, may file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and could shut down two-thirds of its 2,700 stores, according to The Wall Street Journal. Online rental services such as Netflix plus kiosks such as Redbox have changed consumers’ rental preferences.
